Alex and Melissa - Vow Renewal

You can always find my most current pics and projects on instagram!

This was one of the nicest 'weddings' I've ever been to. I went to college with Melissa and Alex, and although Melissa and I lost touch for a few years after graduation, we reconnected again almost 15 years ago over our love of photography. She took photos of Megan and Nathan when they were little, and I've taken photos of several of her family's special events.

When she told me a year ago that she and Alex were going to have a vow renewal ceremony for their 25th wedding anniversary and asked me to photograph it, I was more than willing. And not just for the beautiful day I knew it would be, but I was very happy to spend time with their family and friends.

Alex and Melissa have eight wonderful, friendly, talented, funny children (four boys, four girls, ranging in age from 2 to 20's!), and they are a delight to be around. Alex and Melissa also have some pretty great extended family and friends. Every event I've spent with them is full of easy laughter and sweet fellowship.

THAT truly sums up their whole vow renewal. It was such a lovely testimony to the Lord's grace, mercy, and strength in the 25 years of their marriage. It was a celebration of a godly marriage and family.

The original bridal party was there... with their spouses. The new 'today's' bridal party consisted of Alex and Melissa's eight children. It was a BIG group... and the best I ever had! Cooperative and fun. (However, if you're thinking of getting married, please don't get any ideas of a 17-person bridal party!! It shouldn't be the norm, and your photographer may very likely panic! lol!)

The venue was amazing! Longacre Farm in Susquehanna, PA is beautiful, and the owner Hollie has put so many personal touches around the property that make it feel rustic, cozy, and classy all at the same time. (And, peep the message mowed into their hill in some of Alex and Melissa's portraits!)

Alex and Melissa, it was a true honor and pleasure to be a part of your special day. May the Lord bless you and your family as you continue to seek and serve Him. I love you guys!
Sneaking myself in here! I loved spending time with you and your family!!
To Be Continued...
I love you, Lord. All my life You have been faithful. All my life You have been so, so good. With every breath that I am able, I will sing of the goodness of God...
